TRAINING
Meeting at a central location for a group workout is an excellent way for runners, joggers and walkers to train. Group workouts provide support and security for all participants. Everyone should know his or her level of physical ability prior to embarking into a higher-level exercise program.
Individuals are encouraged to seek an evaluation from a medical doctor prior to starting an exercise program. A Training Run Coordinator should facilitate a meeting location with restroom facilities and make a schedule for days and times of training. The group could meet as often as they wish. Example: Tuesday and Thursday evening and Saturday morning.
Everyone should allow a reasonable amount of time to achieve his or her goal. Each level of fitness should have a volunteer that would encourage them to attain that goal.
The group should encourage everyone that participates to achieve his or her goal. Being physically fit is the overall goal, not being better than anyone else.
Striving to be the best you can be starts the same for everyone. Just picking up one foot after the other, over and over again is a start. If you are trying to achieve a goal, you are on your way to being a WINNER!
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me pick up my feet and I'll take care of putting them down.
All walkers, joggers and runners are welcome.
